Service and Small Business Cannot Neglect Signage

As the co-owner of a small construction business, I have learned the importance of signage. Our biggest customer at present called after writing down our number.

Although some small companies start by creating signs, others neglect it as an added expense. I will admit that I was skeptical at first, after all, we have a strong web presence and wasn't that all we needed?

My husband, who has been in the construction business for many years, pushed until I designed some signs for the side of the truck and some to go in the front of homes where we were remodeling. The response has surprised me, and I am now an avid fan of signage for service businesses.

While designing the signs, I kept several rules in front of me. First of all, the phone number has to be large enough to be read from the street. Your company logo and tag line need to be featured, and use bright bold colors that stand out.

Make sure the fonts are consistent with your business cards, letterhead, and website also to maintain solid branding.

Signorama here in the Bay Area gave us very reasonable prices for all our signs, and they are professionally done.
