The business and economic climate is changing, and big businesses no longer have the advantages they held in prior years over small businesses.

Seth Godin's new book is sure to be a shot in the arm to small business, as it points out the many advantages small businesses have, such as the ability to carve out a niche and serve it well, and to react quickly to changing market conditions without layers of unneeded bureaucacy.

A great blog post regarding this must-read book can be found at the Duct Tape Marketing site - http://www.ducttapemarketing.com/weblog.php?id=P698

This book is also just brimming with sage marketing advice that is applicable to TODAY'S markets. I especially like the checklist of what all good marketers should know, which included the profound statement that marketers are responsible for the side effects their product can cause. This is a point worth pondering for all of us!

If you enjoy this, I also recommend Seth's other book - A Purple Cow.
