I have recently been working with realtors as our company wants to turn fixer upper properties. The realtors I have found most readily do a few things that others don't!
First and foremost, they have a strong web presence. Secondly, they are visible in the community in some way. Third, they are focused specifically on the market segment I am looking at - fixer uppers.
Promotional giveaways are big in the realty field - the ones that keep your name in front of the customers and potential referrers are the ones that last and are useful. One realtor whose name always comes to my mind sends me a recipe calendar every year, which I hang. Another sends me a notepad with a magnet. Both items are not likely to be trashed. Refrigerator magnets fall off - and usually don't last in our home.
A realtor friend of mine ran the idea of advertising on a grocery cart by me - never have I ever written down the name of a realtor from a grocery cart. Plus, I usually put food on top of their expensive ad!
Likewise, flyers in the doors usually get lost or tossed.
